Tier by streams and model size: 1-4 detection streams - Orin Nano (up to 67 TOPS); 4-8 streams or mid-size models - Orin NX (up to 157 TOPS); heavy multi-stream analytics or robot control - AGX Orin (up to 275 TOPS). One software stack across all three - start small and scale.
The tiers differ in compute and I/O bandwidth: Orin Nano (up to 67 TOPS in Super mode) covers few-stream detection and prototypes; Orin NX (100, up to 157 TOPS) is pin-compatible with Nano and powers most production vision boxes; AGX Orin (up to 275 TOPS, 64GB tier) serves heavy multi-stream analytics and robot control.
The dividend is a single software stack - JetPack, CUDA, TensorRT run unchanged across tiers, so validate on a Nano devkit and scale to NX or AGX without rewriting. KIES supplies all three as modules and complete boxes.
